Why You’ll Love This Easy Vegan Chocolate Banana Pumpkin Pie

I’ve tried to make vegan pumpkin pies with other methods, like cornstarch and tofu, but we could never get them to set well enough. Don’t get us wrong, they tasted delicious, but they were just never quite firm enough for our liking.

Agar agar powder is a thickening agent made from… believe it or not, seaweed! It doesn’t have any taste, and it’s highly nutritious. This magical powder is high in fiber, potassium, magnesium, and folate, and it works perfectly in our 2 ingredient pumpkin pie filling!

You’ll be surprised this pie isn’t baked in the oven!  You make the filling on the stovetop and fill your pie crust.  We then added some melted chocolate and bananas on top and voila!  Refrigerate until it’s firmed up.

You’ll love how easy this vegan pumpkin pie with chocolate and bananas comes together!

Perfect recipe for Thanksgiving feast!  Add some whipped cream and enjoy!
