1-3tablespoonsof non-dairy milk - depending on thickness of glaze wanted. For more apple fritter style like the apple fritter donut- use more milk for a thinner glaze that you can pour over the whole muffin.

Apples like Granny Smith or any tart/crisp apple. Peel if prefer and chop small, but not fine and not large, because the apples will not cook through all the way. Measure out 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon and add to toss with apples just before adding it to the muffin batter. Set all aside.
Repeat all the layers again. Can swirl the mixture with a knife if you wish for swirl effect if you wish.
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center of the muffin comes out clean, approximately 20-25 minutes.
Vanilla Creme Glaze
To make glaze, mix powdered sugar and non-dairy milk together until well mixed. If powdered sugar is too lumpy or not mixing well with the milk, place in microwave for 20 seconds and it will melt a bit. No worries, it will firm up when cooled.
Let muffins cool for about 15 minutes before drizzling with glaze.
