CHERRY SMOOTHIE BOWL RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen cherries
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 3/4 cup dairy-free milk of choice add more if needed
  • 1/4 cup vegan Greek yogurt add more if desired for more protein
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds optional
  • 1 tablespoon vegan protein powder optional

Instructions

  • Place all the ingredients in a blender and mix until all the mixture is thick and has the texture of soft serve ice cream. If you don't want super thick, add a little more milk. Pour or scoop your smoothie mixture into a bowl and add toppings to finish it off.  Serve immediately.

More Variations For Toppings

  • Crunch & Texture - Add some toasted coconut flakes, cacao nibs, granola, crushed nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts).  Also add pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds for extra protein!
  • Creamy & Drizzly - Drizzle nut butters like almond, peanut, cashew, or sunflower.  Make some tahini or coconut yogurt swirls or for a Keto-friendly drizzle try macadamia nut butter or unsweetened almond butter.
  • Fresh & Fruity - Place sliced strawberries, kiwi, mango, figs, pomegranate arils or blueberries for antioxidant punch.
