  • Cut all the brussels sprouts in half and place them in a bowl or ziplock bag.
    12 oz. brussels sprouts
  • Add olive oil and salt, then toss to coat evenly.
2 tablespoons olive oil, ¼ teaspoon salt, Optional: pepper to taste
  • Arrange the brussels sprouts on a baking sheet, cut side down, to help them brown.
  • Roast in the oven for 20 minutes.
  • For even browning, turn the sprouts over halfway through roasting.
  • During the last 10 minutes, add any optional ingredients, like dried cranberries, if desired.

Notes

  • Crispiness Tip: For extra crispy Brussels sprouts, make sure they’re spaced out on the baking sheet, not overlapping. Crowding can cause them to steam instead of roast.
  • Add Flavors: Experiment with seasonings like garlic powder, smoked paprika, or even a drizzle of balsamic vinegar after roasting for extra flavor.
  • Adjust Cooking Time: If your sprouts are larger, they may need an extra 5–10 minutes in the oven to reach that perfect, golden-brown finish.
  • Storage Tip: Roasted Brussels sprouts can soften when refrigerated, so reheat them in the oven or air fryer to bring back some crispiness.
