This peanut butter pie filling requires just 3 main ingredients: peanut butter, chocolate, and silken tofu. We blend it up and it creates this beautiful, delicious, light and silky pie.
By using tofu as a substitute for dairy, this pie provides a rich and creamy texture and is a great option for those with dietary restrictions or those looking to make more conscious food choices.ย Plus, it’s so easy is to create your own tofu-based pie at home!
Be aware that if you’re using natural, unsweetened peanut butter, and unsweetened chocolate you’ll want to sweeten it up a bit simply by adding some maple syrup or brown sugar.
We brought this pie to Thanksgiving and it was a big hit. Our non-Vegan family was pretty surprised they were eating tofu in this vegan chocolate peanut butter pie recipe!

How to Make Our Veganย Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie
- Drain excess liquid from silken tofu and place it in the food processor or blender.
- Add 1/2 cup peanut butter to the tofu, and process or blend until smooth.
- Melt chocolate chips in the microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute, and then add it to the tofu and peanut butter mixture. Process or blend again until creamy.
- Test the pie filling to make sure it’s sweet enough. If you’re using unsweetened peanut butter and/or unsweetened chocolate, it might not be sweet enough. If that’s the case, add some maple syrup and/or brown sugar to get your desired sweetness.
